Report Details TV Exec's Alleged Drunken Tirade
Goldklank Says Man Inappropriately Touched Her On Plane
BOSTON -- The general manager of Boston station WHDH-TV allegedly smelled of alcohol when she assaulted a police trooper and was arrested at Logan International Airport during the weekend, according to the Boston Herald.
Randi Goldklank, 40, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at 9:35 p.m. Sunday after Delta called state police to complain about an "unruly passenger" on an inbound flight.
According to a police report obtained by the Herald, troopers smelled a "very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage from her breath" when they arrived at the gate to meet the flight.
Goldklank has denied consuming alcoholic beverages before or during her flight.
After allegedly striking a trooper in the chest, she told a police sergeant, "You think I'm cute, and I think your cute, just drive me home." Goldklank said that she tried to tell police her side of the story.
"I'll have a news crew down here in minutes, and you will lose your (expletive) jobs you (expletives)," the report said. "I'm a big shot in Boston, and I'll have your (expletive) jobs."
Goldklank said that she was inappropriately touched by a male passenger seated beside her on a flight from Philadelphia to Boston, the paper reported. Goldklank said that she did nothing wrong and that she defended herself when a man sitting next to her put his hands in an "inappropriate area." She said that when she asked the man what he was doing, he responded, "Doesn't that feel good?"
Goldklank, who has been at Channel 7 since 2005, faces charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer. Her arraignment was continued until May 19.
